What can make Interstates 805 and 5 better for drivers? Carpool lanes? More transit? Expanded freeways? SANDAG and Caltrans want to listen to ideas from commuters, the trucking industry and other users regarding possible future improvements on Interstate 805 and on Interstate 5 south of State Route 54 to the U.S.-Mexico border.
SANDAG in partnership with Caltrans is inviting the public to provide input on the types of improvements needed along two of the region’s busiest freeways. A corridor study is underway on Interstate 5 from the international border to SR 54 and Interstate 805 from the split to the merge.
Participants at the open houses will learn about the areas under study and proposed transportation improvement alternatives. The public will be asked to comment on the proposals and can recommend other transportation improvements for consideration.
Open houses will be held at the following locations. For more information, call
