SANDAG’s Bike to Work Day, Friday May 20, is right around the corner. Time to tune up your bike and put on your helmet for the best Bike to Work Day ever!
Each year SANDAG sponsors the Bike to Work Day event to draw the attention of commuters to consider bicycling to work rather than driving alone. We can all benefit from the reduced stress that bicycling offers as well as the reduced congestion on our roadways, when there is one less car making the trip to work.
You can even combine your bike commute with transit. Bicyclists can ride on San Diego Transit, North County Transit,
Chula Vista
Transit, and the San Diego Trolley.
Also, the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition is offering a "Smart Cycling" class to be provided through employers. This one-hour class, designed to be presented over the lunch hour, covers the basics of safe cycling and bicycle commuting. Call Cycling Promotions West at (858) 679-1027 for details and to schedule a class at your worksite.
Visit us at www.RideLink.org and register for some great prizes trips on Southwest Airlines, tickets to the Zoo or
