I-15 Express Lanes scheduled to open
SANDAG and Caltrans will launch a new-generation highway system in September with the opening of 4.5 miles of state-of-the-art Express Lanes in the center median of Interstate 15.
Public safety budget analysis released
The costs of benefits and salaries for law enforcement and other public safety agencies have steadily risen in recent years, according to a yearly budget analysis performed by SANDAG.
Draft Coordinated Plan available for comment
The 2008-2012 Coordinated Plan provides a five-year blueprint for how the transit and social service transportation concepts described in the Regional Transportation Plan are to be implemented in the region. Comments are due September 12, 2008.
REDI mapping application relaunched
REDI is available free on the SANDAG Web site and allows users to create custom maps with data overlays to assist in everything from report writing to real estate transactions.
info: 2030 regional growth forecast update
SANDAG recently released info: 2030 Regional Growth Forecast Update, which estimates that by the year 2030 the San Diego region will grow by approximately one million people, 290,000 new homes, and roughly half a million jobs.
