Spend the holidays with MTS

MTS trolley

As the holidays get into full swing, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is gearing up its services to help people have a more joyous season. Whether it’s shopping, special events, or visiting family, MTS is a great way to move around town.

MTS Bus and Trolley services take passengers to the doorstep of most major shopping destinations throughout San Diego, offering a convenient alternative to the hassles of parking and holiday traffic gridlock.

MTS Bus and Trolley also provide access to many special events during the holiday season: Poinsettia and Holiday Bowls at QUALCOMM Stadium; Big Bay Balloon Parade; International Auto Show; Holiday Pops with the San Diego Symphony; and exciting SDSU basketball at Cox Arena. In addition, MTS provides regular service to a variety of San Diego attractions like Sea World, Belmont Park, Balboa Park, the USS Midway, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the San Diego/Baja California border.

Friends ride free fares will be offered for MTS services on Christmas and New Year's Day; and beginning at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve, MTS will provide free “Night Owl” service on the Trolley and Bus routes 7, 11, and 901.

MTS is a smart move this holiday season! Visit www.sdcommute.com for updates and scheduling information, or contact 1-800-COMMUTE.
