As work on the San Diego Trolley’s Mission Valley East (MVE) 5.9 mile extension nears completion, some improvements to the Metropolitan Transit System services in the MVE corridor are falling into place now.
Metropolitan Transit System CEO Paul Jablonski and Alvarado Medical Center CEO Mark Palmer recently toured the new Trolley Station and bus stop improvements in front of the medical center.

has successfully worked hand-in-hand with MTS every step of the way in this process - engineering and design, to construction,” said Palmer. The results are shaping up to be quite magnificent.
According to MTS CEO Paul Jablonski, “While most of the improvements, like the start of Trolley service to the four new stations and implementation of bus route improvements will occur in the summer, some improvements are starting now. The new

is now on a wider platform with shelters and benches for passengers to use.”
“We are also launching our system-wide bus stop sign replacement,” added MTS Director of Operations Susan Hafner. “The new sign’s red, black and white color treatment has more “eye appeal” and is more readable.” The first of the new signs are being installed at the bus stop at the new Alvarado Medical Center Trolley Station and at other bus stops along
