Bicycle plan gets in gear San Diego Regional Bicycle Plan

SANDAG wants your input on developing a comprehensive master plan for our regional bicycle system. The San Diego region has more than 1,000 miles of bicycle facilities. SANDAG has received a grant from Caltrans to develop this comprehensive plan.

Two public workshops are being held in June to secure initial input on the San Diego Regional Bicycle Plan. The workshops will help to identify any gaps in the system, desired bike routes, and frequently traveled bicycle patterns in the San Diego region. The workshops also will introduce the goals and objectives of this Plan, the projects and program funding sources, existing network, and the status of bicycle planning. The same workshop will be held in two separate locations for convenient and thorough input throughout the county.

The workshops will be held:

Tuesday, June 24, 2008
6 to 8 p.m.
Carlsbad Senior Center
799 Pine Ave
Carlsbad, CA 92008

Wednesday, June 25, 2008
6 to 8 p.m.
Hall of Champions Sports Museum in Balboa Park
2131 Pan American Plaza
San Diego, CA 92101

A second series of workshops will be held in the fall to further discuss the project. For more information visit www.sandag.org/bicycleplan.
