SANDAG Challenges Employers to Spring into Action

SANDAG, in partnership with SONY, the City of San Diego, and the Poway Chamber of Commerce, challenges area employers to learn more about the benefits of sponsoring employee commuter programs at its "Spring into Action" seminar on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 a.m. at SONY's Rancho Bernardo facility (16530 Via Esprillo, San Diego).

By attending the seminar, employers will learn about increasing employee benefits with little or no cost to the company by offering an employee commuting program. SANDAG offers free consulting services to assist the region's employers in learning how to use commuter programs successfully. Services include employee surveys which determine commuter patterns and employee commuter preferences and a program which allows employees to be matched with other employees for potential carpools or vanpools. SANDAG also provides information on the state and federal tax benefits companies can take advantage of by starting employee commuter programs.
