Get ready for SchoolPool

RideLink can help you beat school traffic by providing you with a program that will get students to school and drivers out of their cars. The SchoolPool program matches families that live close by and attend the same school so they can create a school carpool. The parents decide how they would like to share the responsibility of getting their kids back and forth to school.  By helping families form carpools, local schools can reduce congestion, increase safety, and foster life-long smart commuting habits.

The High Tech Village of schools in Point Loma has found that their SchoolPool program has resulted in a reduction in the number of vehicles coming to school and an increase in families connecting with each other. To be matched with other families in your area or to get your school involved, dial 511 from any phone and ask for RideLink or e-mail schoolpool@sandag.org for a registration packet.
